Otto Eduard Abel Egberts (1949 - 2019) was a Dutch visual artist, active as a painter, draughtsman, sculptor, and teacher at the Willem de Kooning Academy. Egberts is known for his almost completely abstract drawings, dominated by shades of grey. He himself describes this work as ‘professionalized doubt’ meant to indicate the ‘fragility of being.’ We offer a graphic. It is numbered in pencil, signed and dated. On the reverse is the text in pencil: A happy and meaningful 1988, OTTO. H: 30 - W: 19.5 cm.
