My name is Gert Reekmans and since childhood I have been fascinated by beautiful, unique objects.  Perhaps this is partly due to my genes inherited from my father with his keen interest in antiques and old ivory works of art. That same love for special pieces is also in me. Although my career has now spanned more than 20 years in finance and real estate, my interest in beautiful things has always remained. While working, I was often on the road, stopping frequently when there was something beautiful to see. Whether it was an antique market, a design shop or a brocante, I couldn't resist stopping and browsing around.  My search for the beautiful never stops. Markets, visiting houses, online, I search everywhere.  The auction principle, where the market itself sets the right price, has always intrigued me. It's all about finding that balance: the right price for a special item. The passion for beautiful items and the auction mechanism eventually led me to launch my new website. The goal? To give pre-loved goods a second life and get them into the hands of people who are as enthusiastic about them as I am. At the same time, I want to give others the chance to easily offer their own special pieces to a wider audience. That way, together we can share the beauty of unique objects. My mission is simple: beautiful things deserve a second chance, and I want to make sure they get one.      

The auctions have a fixed expiry time. So be on time to place your bid.  If you want more certainty, place an automatic bid. This way you increase your chance of winning an item and never pay more than your set maximum bid.  

For some items, the seller decides to set a minimum selling price. If the bids reach this price, the sale is complete. If not, negotiations take place between the highest bidder and the seller after the auction. If they do not reach an agreement, there is no sale.

Sellers pay no fee for offering items entirely on their own. To run the platform (development, posting of items, maintenance), we ask for a 10% fee from the buyer. This is our added value on which we pay 21% tax. This makes a total of 12.1%.
