Val Saint Lambert crystal vase designed by René Delvenne circa 1957. Vase with twisted sides in clear and mauve crystal, using the sommerso technique. The sommerso technique involves adding colour during the blowing process. This requires great skill as it is a difficult technique that can only be performed by experienced master glassblowers. Brussels World Fair, 1958. Vase featured in the Val Saint Lambert catalogue 1956/1957. Height: 27 cm Weight: 4.52 kg Good overall vintage condition, minor flea bite (see photo).
